Meaning:
I am not a sinner. This so-called life is all a fake and it is of your making. What can a doll, shaped like a pounding sick, do for itself? Because of the Sutras you hold in your hand you are able to cause movements in the hands and legs. In this city-like body you have restrained me and having closed off all the nine exits that are guarded by twenty-six sentries and making me suffer through this miserable life, is indeed unfair. Are you not the operator of my internal engine? Under these conditions what kind of independence do I have? Purandaravithala! The father of Manmata and one manifesting himself in several forms, all that happens in this world is because of your will.

Otherwise, the person will be termed a hypocrite and nobody will believe him. May be, initially, some people will respect but later on they too will drop out. This harmony should be attempted and achieved, whatever be ones stage or status in life, whatever be his age]

Ragi Tandeera-KalyanaVasanta-Chapu

Ragi [finger millet - Eleusine coracana] is a coarse staple grain (resembling seasame seeds) grown in Karnataka and Andhra.  ‘aagi’ is averb = be = become. In this krti Purandaradasa has used ‘raagi’ and ‘aagi’ to clearly convey a message that ragi is highly eatable, besides advising on a righteous life. Perhaps ragi was considered a poor man’s food, but Purandaradasa had no qualms accepting it in bhiksha.

“Have you brought Ragi for alms?” While in one sense, it can be read as an extolment of Ragi, the staple local grain, the sustainer of life itself with various adjectives: Yogya (worthy) + Ragi, Bhogya (enjoyable) + Ragi ; on another level, it is a veiled ordainment to the householders to become “worthy”, “Yogyaragi” as one word.

It is a admixture of many shades of meanings conveying a sense of worthiness, deservingness, etc. exhorting to do various acts of goodness like offering food to the needy (anna chatrava nittavarAgi), attaining fame for the right reasons (kyathiyali migilAdavarAgi) and cautioning people to stay away from unethical practices (anya varthegaLa bittavarAgi) and so on.
